When a woman becomes pregnant, there are certain things or symptoms one feel like or face and this makes them aware that they might be carrying a baby inside.
Then what are the major symptoms during early pregnancy? Well, here are some prominent ones that one can face:
Tender and swollen breasts
One’s breasts may show the first sign of pregnancy. Like just 2 weeks after pregnancy or conception, there can be some hormonal changes in the body which can make the breasts tender, sore and a bit tingly. The breasts can also feel heavier and fuller.
When one conceives then they feel very tired and fatigued all the time. In case of early pregnancy the hormone levels go up as the progesterone soar. A high level of progesterone can also put one to sleep and at the same time the blood pressure and blood sugar level goes low and it increases the blood production and this can swallow up a lot of body energy.
Slight bleeding or cramping
There can be some amount of vaginal bleeding or spotting one can see as the very first symptom of pregnancy. This is also known as the implantation bleeding and it happens when the fertilised eggs get attached to the lining of the uterus. This happens about 2 weeks after the fertilisation. This kind of bleeding can happen a bit earlier and the spotting can happen in a much lighter colour and look like periods but this does not last long. There are some women who also face some abdominal cramping just like regular menstrual cramps.
Nausea with or without vomiting
There is something called morning sickness and it can strike at morning or night. This is one of the major early symptoms of pregnancy. For some women it may start as early as 2 weeks after conception but nausea seems to happen because of the rising level of oestrogen and can cause the stomach to empty more slowly. Pregnant women also become sensitive to odours like perfumes, food cooking and cigarettes.
Food aversions or cravings
When one is pregnant, then they can find themselves turning up the nose to certain foods like fried foods and coffee. Some uncommon food cravings can happen too and the food preferences can change due to hormonal changes.
This can be an early sign of pregnancy because there is an increase in blood circulation and there can be hormonal changes which can trigger some mild yet frequent headaches.
This is another very common symptom of pregnancies. This happens because there is an increase in the progesterone that causes the food to pass more slowly through the intestines and it can lead to constipation.
When one is pregnant, one can suffer from frequent mood swings. The flood of hormones makes one feel like that and these mood swings are mostly common in the first trimester.
Faintness and dizziness
When the blood vessels dilate, the blood pressure drops and so one may feel a bit lightheaded or dizzy.
These are the earliest pregnancy symptoms that one can face.
